We’re providing Training Services to design and deliver a tailored training programme aimed at enhancing the skills, knowledge, and safety awareness of personnel working in one of Iraq’s largest oilfields. This bespoke programme is focused on optimising operational efficiency, adhering to industry best practices, and fostering a culture of nationalisation through continual learning and development.

The programme covers technical training across three key departments—Petroleum Engineering, Drilling, and Contract & Procurement—to support the development of a skilled and confident workforce.

Scope:

Petroleum Engineering:

• Reservoir Engineering Principles: Comprehensive training in reservoir dynamics, modelling, and management to enhance petroleum engineering expertise.

• Production Optimisation Techniques: Modules focused on maximising oil and gas production efficiency, addressing challenges and bottlenecks.

• Geology and Petrophysics: Training in geophysics and geology tools, alongside an understanding of reservoir rock properties and fluid distribution, enabling better reservoir characterisation and modelling in the field.

Drilling Department:

• Drilling Operations Fundamentals: In-depth modules on well planning, drilling techniques, and rig operations to ensure day-to-day proficiency.

• Health, Safety, and Environmental Practices: Comprehensive sessions on safety protocols, hazard identification, risk management, and emergency response to promote a secure working environment.

Contract and Procurement:

• Procurement Best Practices: Instruction in effective planning, procurement strategies, vendor management, market research, tendering, contract drafting, and negotiation.

• Contract Compliance and Risk Management: Training to ensure adherence to contractual obligations while equipping personnel with tools to mitigate risks within procurement processes.
